One of the group of volunteers behing this project, Cliff Densley, paid a visit to Bath and while there went to the site of his coach depot. Here you can see two photo’s one what it looked like in 1975 (on right), and one what is left now, an overgrown mess. The only thing standing is the garage. Back in 1980 there was five small to medium sizes coach firms in Bath now they are  all gone, the only choice people have for coach hire are from firms outside of Bath.

Cliff has been digging away in Poole archives again. He has found out that there was a Church in the High Street in Poole, called St Paul’s. It was built in the 1700 hundreds and pulled down in the late 1950. One of the windows from this church is now in St James Church.

We found a photo when they pulled down St Paul’s Church which you can see on the right. On the left is MacDonald’s, which is now on this site.

Above is a photo taken by Cliff Densley, of a window that was taken out of St Paul’s Church on demolition and put into St James Church in Poole.
